Description:

Recombinant mouse CD34 protein with C-terminal human Fc tag

Background:

Possible adhesion molecule with a role in early hematopoiesis by mediating the attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or directly to stromal cells. Could act as a scaffold for the attachment of lineage specific glycans, allowing stem cells to bind to lectins expressed by stromal cells or other marrow components. Presents carbohydrate ligands to selectins (By similarity).[UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot Function]

Molecular weight:

The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 53.3 kDa after removal of the signal peptide. The apparent molecular mass of mCD34-hFc is approximately 70-100 kDa due to glycosylation.

Formulation / Reconstitution:

Storage:

Store at -20°C to -80°C for 12 months in lyophilized form. After reconstitution, if not intended for use within a month, aliquot and store at -80°C (Avoid repeated freezing and thawing). Lyophilized proteins are shipped at ambient temperature.
