Human CLDN9 full length protein-synthetic nanodisc FLP100081
Specifications
| 10µg / 50µg / 100µg |
Alternative names:
DFNB116
Description:
Human CLDN9 full length protein-synthetic nanodisc
Background:
This protein is a member of the claudin family. Claudins are integral membrane proteins and components of tight junction strands. Tight junction strands serve as a physical barrier to prevent solutes and water from passing freely through the paracellular space between epithelial or endothelial cell sheets, and also play critical roles in maintaining cell polarity and signal transductions. This protein is one of the entry cofactors for hepatitis C virus. Mouse studies revealed that this gene is required for the preservation of sensory cells in the hearing organ and the gene deficiency is associated with deafness.
Protein families:
Transmembrane
Protein pathways:
Cell adhesion molecules (CAMs), Leukocyte transendothelial migration, Tight junction
Expression host:
HEK293
Target:
CLDN9
Molecular weight:
The human full length CLDN9 protein has a MW of 22.8 kDa
Formulation / Reconstitution:
Lyophilized from nanodisc solubilization buffer (20 mM Tris-HCl, 150 mM NaCl, pH 8.0). Normally 5% - 8% trehalose is added as protectants before lyophilization. Please see Certificate of Analysis for specific instructions.
